FIRE STATION EBBS, AUSTRIA

Facing the street, the design presents itself as a restrained, functionally articulated volume. The understated street facade supports a calm integration into the village context. A dynamically curved roof form spans connects the social hearth with the garage spatially, lending the building a playful silhouette. At the same time, the sweeping roofline creates a  canopy over the entrance—an inviting, weather-sheltered threshold that facilitates arrival and orientation.

The timber-lined social room unfolds its spatial quality between two contrasting visual relationships: on one side, a generous panoramic window opens outward, establishing a strong connection to the surrounding landscape; on the other, a framed aperture offers views into the functional vehicle garage.

This tension-rich spatial composition intertwines warmth and a sense of enclosure with pragmatic functionality—a deliberately staged dialogue between nature and technology, stillness and movement.
